⋆ it's after a long day of commissions that yingxing's finally ushered (read: shoved) from the forge by his apprentices. it took a while, but eventually he acquiesced, walking through bustling streets back towards the home he shared with his beloveds. on the way he stops to pick up dinner and snacks for their youngest's sweet tooth. and the sight of danfeng and jingyuan when he finally opens the door to their bedroom is a welcome one, even as he casts his gaze over jingyuan's softly snoring form and danfeng curled on the bed. ⋆ really, baobei? leaving me in favour of our dear lieutenant? you could've at least saved me some space.

i'm here now, aren't i? or would you rather i go straight back to the forge? ⋆ yingxing asks, setting down the takeout boxes on the nearest table. he yawns then, stretching his arms, light from the window bathing the scars and marks on them in a golden glow. evidently he's tired out from the day's work. he comes closer to the bed, pressing a kiss to danfeng's forehead right between his horns. ⋆ i even bought dinner for all of us, you should be thanking me instead.

" the high elder huffed out, his vivid ceruleans glancing over at furnace master -- danfeng makes no move to free up some space. " at least jingyuan isnt engrossed with his work like a certain someone i know, " danfeng points out.
