Her father, a bitter and violent man, frequently took out his frustration on the girl, while her older sister ignored and despised her, treating her as an unwanted intruder. Aurora was forced to live in miserable conditions, often sleeping in the basement and receiving little food. To survive, she had to scavenge or even steal small amounts of food. The hostile environment at home extended to school, where she was constantly bullied. Children avoided and mocked her, and adults treated her with indifference or cruelty. Aurora was forced to perform the most degrading tasks at home and was often left without lunch as punishment for her "cursed existence." Every day, her father reminded her that she was the "devil" who killed his wife, blaming her for their mother's death and the family's suffering. These emotional abuses were accompanied by physical violence. Aurora frequently endured beatings, and her father made every effort to ensure she knew his anger and resentment. Her older sister, following their father's example, also participated in the abuse, either by ignoring her needs or adding cruel remarks that reinforced the idea that Aurora was a curse. When Aurora was eight years old, her father, tired of her presence, decided to get rid of her once and for all. On a cold, snowy night, he took her to a distant neighborhood, far from home, and left her alone in the snow, beaten and injured. With no one to help her, Aurora wandered the snow-covered streets, struggling to survive. Her body was covered in bruises and cuts, the result of her father's frequent assaults.
