"However, at this point in time, your connections, as dubious as it might be, with my brother, tends to complicate the matter." It wasn't so much that she needed to stay away from him. Arutha wasn't a complete psychopath who acted before thinking and Thalia was certainly in no danger by simply being around him. Under any other circumstances, she would have been more than fine merely hanging out with the Original. However, the fact of the matter was Klaus would know and he had no problems lording such information over both of them, which would end up being problematic to say the least. "Klaus doesn't like it when people get too familiar with the family and he knows about it, especially when he himself has some sort of say in the matter. It never ends well. I'm merely trying to keep you out of trouble, though apparently that's harder than it looks." As he spoke, he found himself navigating through the streets, dodging a few people here and there. It would only get busier as they ended up getting closer to the main centre of town, but that was the whole plan. One he knew she wouldn't quite realise until he actually informed her of it. "So really, you should be heeding my advice and avoiding all of us for your own safety."

             ⠀⠀⠀ “you really confuse me.”  the words are spoken in a huff, but stood up from her spot on the bench and brushed her hands off on her clothes. she thinks over it for a moment before her lips form a thin line, slipping her arm through his and allowing her hand to hold onto his bicep. not quite how she thought this day would go, but alas, she should expect this by now.
             ⠀⠀⠀ “first you say that i’m supposed to stay away from you, then you invite me on a walk and give me a pep-talk about how i’m going to be great. you cannot have your cake and eat it, too.”  she mumbles, and even though she knows he can hear her, she doesn’t care. he /should/ hear it. he’s being just like every other man—- confusing as all hell. even so, she could almost find it endearing.. only slightly, of course. if he continues to be confusing, or gets even more so, she might have half the mind to rip out her own damn hair. she had spent too many years with a confusing man, she didn’t need any more under her belt.

She didn't see it, but it was that fear, fear of becoming something other, that would carry her out onto the other side without any faults. She didn't want to be like Klaus or the others. She wanted to be good. She just couldn't see it. He supposed he was going to have to show her somehow, that it wasn't the end of everything, that even as a vampire, should could still be a good person. "You and I need to take a walk," he told her, rising to his feet and offering his arm to her out of habit. "I'm going to prove to you that you are not what you think you are. Just because you were born of violence, does not mean you will instinctively turn it. You will surprise yourself, Thalia Black, more than you can understand." He had met a few vampires over the years, ones that didn't necessary choose to be like those that had made them. Thalia was never going to be like Klaus, no matter what she might have thought.
