A little glimpse from Chapter 66. Maybe we should talk about what happened last night first...

          "Are you not bothered?"
          "Of what?" Vael asked.
          Anna looked at him for a while before answering. "Forgetting things..."
          "No." He breathed quietly. "If I don't remember them, then maybe they weren't mine to keep."
          "Do you remember what happened last night?" Anna rubbed her eye.
          "Yeah. You came down here, limping. And fell on me. You smelled like wine, then you kissed me. You held my hand and then you slept." Vael said it all so casually. "That's it."
          Her pupil widened, her single organic eye opening wide while the other remained its usual mechanical stare. "What?" Her breathing quickened, her chest rising and falling faster.
          "You... you heard me. I guess you were drunk."
          Anna shot to her feet. "Yeah. That... that probably wasn't mine to keep."

Just published Chapter 65 - The False Bearer.
          
          And yeah, finally, Vier's journey in The Pit has reached its end. After all those chapters, he finally managed to leave the Pit... but of course, that's not the end of his journey. Whatever he's actually looking for is still somewhere ahead. Hahaha.
          
          If you want to follow Vier's entire journey through The Pit, the chapters are: 42, 43, 47, 48, 55, 56, and 65. Though... you probably should read Chapters 37 and 38 first. Actually, maybe just read all of them. HAHAHAHA.
          
          Anyway, goodbye. Ciao. ❤

Random Ashen Vein update:
          At this point, the story has grown into four major parallel plotlines, rotating between 7 different limited third-person POV characters.
          
          And yes, these are the major threads right now:
          1. Lunaria, Kurumi, Arthur, Azazel & Jack: Finding the Cure, and probably finding Vael.
          2. Vael: Finding Himself, or finding nothing. I don't know.
          3. Vier: Finding His God.
          4. Lucyna & Zenon: Finding Her Brother & Protecting What Remains.
          
          And somehow, these four branches are all slowly moving toward each other. Oh, Aurelion... my head wants to explode now. But still... I love writing every part of it❤

          It's been a while since I've actually been around here and interacted with people properly, so I figured I'd make a little post before I suddenly reappear in everyone's comment section like nothing happened. XD
          
          I've been pretty buried in Ashen Vein lately, although... there was a slight problem.
          
          I downloaded Conan Exiles.
          
          That was nine days ago, or more, umm...
          
          I'm now level 48, I have a new base, a tavern, several dead Thralls, one particularly unfortunate expedition into a swamp, and a guy named Kirk who is apparently the strongest person in my entire settlement.
          
          So technically, I have been doing important research. Very important research. Definitely not procrastinating. ...Okay, maybe a little >.<
          
          Anyway, I'm finally getting back to Ashen Vein and continuing Chapter 63. I'm also realizing that I've fallen pretty far behind on catching up with everyone here, so I'll be spending some time wandering around Wattpad again and checking out what everyone has been working on. If you've published something new, started a new story, or just want to say hi, feel free to drop a comment. I'd genuinely love to catch up with you guys again. ❤️
