I'm here to tell you all that it's never too late to work on your dreams. I'm here to tell you that it's okay if you can't quite work up the courage yet. It will come.

I remember that I wrote stories about girls and horses on a mechanical typewriter when I was a kid. And then I stopped writing and I don't know why. Maybe it looked like an impossible dream? Something that only rich men did? I don't know but for years I didn't write fictional stuff except when it was part of homework.

Fast forward (is that still an expression?) almost 30 years and you'll see me reading every fanfic I can find of my favorite Mass Effect pairing. At some point I shook my head, scoffed at yet another "grown up people being virgins and having marvelous sex the first time" trope and opened up a document and started typing. Yes, I wrote my first porn at 43.

I'm 47 now and I'm working on making writing fiction something that makes me happy and earn me some money. I'm not there yet for point two but I'm hopeful.

You're never too old. I really believe that.
