Hello. I am a joyful wife and mother of three with a passion for Jesus, poetry, and photography. I hold a B.A. in English because my heart's desire is to write. Since graduating I've worked as a teacher, musician, cleaning lady, tax professional, and artist, but never as a writer. In the past year, several friends have encouraged me to pick up the baton and run with it. Right away I created two blogs, thus taking the first baby steps toward becoming a published author. I have also submitted several poems to contests and calls for submission, and one has been accepted! 

My ultimate goal is to publish a poetry chapbook, and I actually have plans for several chapbooks in the making. Perhaps down the road I'll also do some fiction and non-fiction writing. Time will tell. The journey will likely be longer than I can imagine, but it has finally begun, and that's all that matters.

My daughter told me about this site where writers can post their work and receive feedback/constructive criticism. That's exactly what I am looking for. Comments such as, "Loved it" are nice, but what did you love about it? And if something is weak, or flat-out wrong, I'd like to know that too. I want to be taken seriously as a writer, and I intend to help others along the way as well. We are here to help each other, and I think this site is wonderful because it meets a legitimate need of writers for feedback.
