"you wanna trade?  john's an  ..  interesting person.  think I'd prefer elves and a witcher as opposed to him."

            “ somethings tells me that is nothing more than a ruse .  i like to think i’m pretty good at catching a liar .  ” since the bard often lied his way out of things , it wasn’t the most difficult thing to realize when someone was lying to him .  though , he has still been a fool a couple times .  “ it’s nothing all that amusing .  unless you count getting the shit beaten out of you by elves and tied back to back with a witcher .  ”

"oh?  I'll be on my best behavior then.  you'll never find someone more well behaved."  his smile only grew but he did at least somewhat listen.  any movements ceased  ,  other than the occasional shuffle to remind himself that his bow   /  was  /   still on his back.  a bit unprofessional on account of his captors but he wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth.  "we should share stories sometimes  ,  captive to captive."

"that an offer?  because id gladly take you up on it.  can't say I'm too easily persuaded  ,  but well  ..  "  when it came to the other  ,  his views tended to shift easily.  "  ..  don't tempt me with such a nice offer.  makin' it hard to say no.  I can still draw you some posters though  ,  if you'd like.  it'd be my pleasure."

            “ if i wanted to ‘get into your good graces’ i would’ve had a more different approach .  you see..  i can be quite persuasive .  ” letting out a small chuckle , jaskier felt his lips curl upwards in amusement .  his cornflower blues glinting with that very same emotion in them .  “ shame..  we could be a duo you and i .  making sets of posters across taverns for my amazing ballads .  ”

"feel like you're speakin' a bit too 'ighly of me.  sure you're not just tryin' to get in my good graces?"  he questioned  ,  voice a bit higher pitched than it usually would be.  it was quite clear at this point that he was embarrassed.  "you're one of the first to 'ave gotten somethin' outside of my wanted posters.  'fraid my other occupation is my main priority though.  can't run off to be an artist quite yet."

"  ..  you serious?  you're around the wrong crowd then  ,  man.  I'm speaking simple truths.  give me more time and I'd compliment every part of you."  the thief flashed a quick wink alongside a wide smile.  the words were true though  —  despite the leer he added to them.  "I'll leave that to 'em then.  I've got people to fight  ,  money to steal.  I'm well off in my own occupation  ,  yea?  as are you  ..  what with your pretty palyin'."

            “ you really know how to flatter me  ,  don’t you ?  swear no one has complimented me as much as you .  though i do appreciate the offer..  i do think i’ll be sticking this one out .  ” jaskier couldn’t possibly bare another one of his lutes breaking over some fight , its happened more times than he can count on hand .  “ you should feel so lucky .  it’s what all witchers do for a living  ,  a sad life really..  ”

"not doubtin' you  ,  angel.  just givin' you an out if you'd like it.  feel free to punch as many of these assholes as you'd like."  he'd pay to see it in all honesty.  sure  ,  shooting them would be fun  ,  but he wouldn't oppose seeing the other in action.  " 'avent gotten around to monsters quite yet.  think I'd prefer to keep it that way in all honesty."
