In 2009, Bashundhara made a strategic foray into the media sector by establishing East West Media Group Ltd. This subsidiary now controls several prominent media platforms, including Kaler Kantho, Bangladesh Pratidin, Daily Sun, and the online portal banglanews24.com. The group also launched News24, a major news channel, T Sports, Bangladesh's first dedicated sports channel, and Radio Capital, an FM station with varied programming.
