@1-800-JOEMAMA No, I agree with them too. They shouldn't have to deal with such a toxic fan community. Shipping them is one thing, but when fans try to force the ships on the guys, that's when I draw the line. Same thing with the fanfics. Smut and stuff, fine, I can agree that's wrong. But a simple, clean story shouldn't be shunned out just because it includes real people. My fanfics use the guys to portray serious topics and situations to raise awareness of things. But after hearing Carson talk about how dehumanizing it makes them feel, I've sort of changed my perspective a little. I probably won't stop writing about them, but at least I'm more conscious about HOW I'm writing them. I can make excuses for some things, but I'll admit when I can't and shouldn't make excuses for other things, like forcing certain ships, fanfics, and ideas on the guys. That's just wrong.
