Hello everyone,
I’m reaching out to anyone who has a dog — I urgently need some advice. My dog has been unwell for several weeks now. She’s in severe pain in her hip and can hardly walk. For a while, I thought she was getting better, but now it’s much worse than before. Her hind legs constantly buckle, and she cannot stand up on her own to eat or drink. She breathes very quickly in her sleep and sometimes whines in pain. We had her blood tested and her values are completely normal. She is only two years old, which makes everything seem even more strange. Before this, she was extremely energetic and happy.
I’ve been to the vet several times over the past few weeks, but they couldn’t find anything. We even had X-rays taken, and her bones appear to be fine. I’m slowly running out of ideas and can’t find anything helpful online. That's why I try to reach real people via the internet, because I think it's more helpful than reading on Google that she's dying.
I’m terrified for her — she’s like my other half, and it breaks my heart that I can’t really help her. I cannot bear the thought of losing her. On top of that, I don’t have the budget for more tests that might not reveal anything. I’d spend every penny on her, but I’m afraid that if something serious is found, I won’t have enough left because so much has already gone into the previous tests.
Has anyone had a similar experience or might know what this could be? I’d be so grateful for any advice.
