Greek Mythology book I’m reading right now:
*Speaking of any heterosexual relationship*: To him, she was the most beautiful women he had ever seen, perhaps even more beautiful than Helen of Troy, and he craved to have her hand in marriage at once. (Not a direct quote from book, but it’s pretty similar to the way the author describes each first impression in relationships the heroes and gods had.)
*Speaking of Apollo and Hyacinthus*: They were really great friends.
*Speaking of Patroclus and Achilles*: Patroclus was a dear friend of Achilles.
Does no one else see the problem with this?

@Lonely_Potato24 That’s why I thought Achilles and Patroclus were originally lovers in Greek Mythology, but knowing the story, it’s hard to act like they were not. The reaction Achilles had to Patroclus’s death was not a reaction you would have if someone was just your friend. I love my friends, but I wouldn’t go on a murderous rampage for them after (trigger warning) trying to commit suicide.
