〝  i had planned for my confession to be more put together than this.. ＂ he admitted with a sigh,  the nape of his neck being rubbed at sheepishly with a nervous chuckle〝  we were going to do something nice,  have a nice dinner,  and then i'd finally ask you if you'd like to be my girlfriend..  but instead it came out like this-  are redos allowed??  just pretend that i didn't say anything! ＂ he was still slightly frantic as he tried to recovery from his earlier fumbling,  hands covering her ears as if that'd make it so she hadn't heard anything

"      she wriggles her head away from where it sits under his,  wide eyes stare up in disbelief.  miyuki takes a fall minute in silence simply watching the other stumble over words.  her heart beat so quickly in her chest she was sure it was audible.  her eyes dart to the now emptied space to the right of them, then back to hiroto.   ``  hey, calm down -  it was a good idea so, seriously, it's fine! I don't mind the reasoning either, to be honest.   I mean, however you meant it..  doesn't really matter.  " 

〝  i'm just making sure they know you're happily taken ＂ the words flew out of his mouth before he could even process what he'd just said.  but the realization of it was quick to settle in shortly after,  causing his face to flush bright red with embarrassment before burying his face into the top of miyuki's head〝  wait no,  i-i didn't mean it like that-.  well,  actually i did?  but not in the way i just said it-?? ＂ his pattern of speech was all over the place as he tried to correct himself

〝  so what if they get the wrong idea?  i'm..  starting to learn to not care about those kinds of things thanks to you.  especially because doing stuff like this makes me happy.. ＂ he admitted,  his flushed features growing darker as he continued to speak.  they walked down the entryway of miyuki's home that lead to where his car was,  using his other unoccupied hand to open the passenger's side door〝  plus,  i gotta show up looking my best since you went through the effort of doing the same.  i just don't want you to ever feel disappointed or anything for having me by your side is all.. ＂

                     ───     ᩙᩙ  ♡       almost every word he said  practically went in one ear out the other.  miyuki's attention was pointedly fixed upon their now-entwined hands --  as if her cheeks couldn't get any redder.  she gives a small squeeze back,  and suddenly she shoots her gaze up as if finally realising he was speaking.   ``   huh?  yeah, i'm ready..   --  also, won't people get the wrong idea since we match?  you always worried about that before.  " 

〝  i wanted to be on theme with the seasons changing and all,  but i wasn't expecting us to actually match.  it's cute that we managed to coordinate though.  almost like we read each other's minds! ＂ noticing her rigidness,  hiroto did his best to make miyuki relax by creating some light banter,  later intertwining their digits together and giving their clasped hands a playfully gentle swing〝  and of course i look good!  i have an image to uphold after all.  so no way will you ever see me wearing anything less than the best! ( .. )  hah,  but aside from that,  are you ready to go miyu? ＂

"   rolling her eyes,  she slumps herself back against hiroto.  she sighs,  knocking her head against his as she leans against it.   heat rises to her cheeks with each affirmation,  tapping fingers against paper still with a scoff.   ``   don't make a big deal out of it, it'll just make me want to make it perfect and thats basically impossible.   "   

〝  ah,  so it's a personal piece then?  wow,  this sure does bring me back to when you first joined.  at the time,  you didn't even want to go near trying to make any songs! ＂ he lightly teased with a cheeky grin,  gaze looking at miyuki with a certain softness in his expression〝  on a serious note though,  i'm proud of you miyu,  really.  i understand that getting out of comfort zone and trying something new can be tough at times.  but look at you doing exactly that! ＂

"  eyes widen as she pulled between his legs,  eyes darting to the corner to glimpse down at his resting head. she laughs, shaking her head.   ``  a  little warning next time  --   yeah, it's a slower tempo, it's not for the band, so..  "  she shrugs it off, briefly dropping her attention down to the fingers tapping against her side.  it was endearing, for sure.   ``  eh?  what its about?  uh.. some feelings or stuff. I haven't decided yet.   "  she vaguely answers, tensing under the curiosity,  a light blush crossing her face as lips push thoughtfully.

                     ───     ᩙᩙ  ♡      once she returns, miyuki leans herself against the arm of the couch --  just for enough to give a semblance of personal space.    she folds her arms over her chest, watching the younger with a concerned but patient smile.    ``   i'll make something anyway, I got to eat something too.   you get yourself dried off, and go get some comfier clothes from upstairs.   "  she nods her head in the direction of the stairs as she speaks.   ``  if you feel like eating after, there will be a bowl for you.  there's no pressure whatsoever, alright?   " 

“   …   “         rather than replying, she rather chooses to simply watch as the elder leaves. seki already feels bad. she got water on the floor, because she didn’t think to bring an umbrella.  [another thing she managed to ruin.]  but her thoughts are interrupted by miyuki’s return, and she gratefully accepts the towel. quickly squeezing the rainwater out of her hair, and attempting the same for her clothes. at least.. she does the best she can.          “   i’m,, not really hungry. you don’t need to make anything, i.. just don’t feel like eating. kind of.   “

                     ───     ᩙᩙ  ♡       rather than leaving immediately,  she crouches down in front of the other.   placing a hand over folded ones,  miyuki offers a gentle squeeze.    ``   you're never annoying, seki.   I like having you here,  alright?  "   she smiles warmly,  tilting her head to the side.   ``  i've got a spare bedroom,  we can go up together if you'd like?  i'll make you something to eat after we get you warm.  Let me grab you a towel.   "   she stands up slowly,  turning to leave.   ``  help yourself around,  i'll be back in a second.  "
