When you die, your body slowly shuts down. Your last sense to go is hearing. For three minutes you can hear. Then it takes seven minutes for your brain to shut down. In those seven minutes it is said your brain goes through every memory you've ever come across in great detail, so right now, you could just be reliving this as a memory.
