my pet peeves when it comes to reading reader inserts:
- when the entire story just one big paragraph
- when y/n blushes, goes pale when sick or has a lack of sleep, their knuckles whiten, etc. it white codes the character, and I've seen so many poc readers mention that, even tho I'm white, it irritates me knowing that it's not inclusive to everyone.
- even though different people are talking, it's still just one big paragraph. please put different paragraphs fro when it changes who's talking.
- characters that are supposed to be "reader" but have a designated name or like, specific features. (like when reader automatically has blonde hair or blue eyes or is skinny, etc.)
- when reader stutters over words, but it's literally just repeating the first letter every. single. time. know that sometimes you repeat words entirely!! it's not just "h-h-h-hey." or "i-im sorry."
- WHEN THERES PICTURES OF PEOPLE THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO BE READER IN THINGS!!
- when it doesn't state what pronouns reader has! sometimes I'll get excited cause it doesn't say reader is fem and then I get into it, and there is just "she" and "her" everywhere. PLEASE state whether it's fem!reader or not.
