@p1harmonyofficial  i think someone can be an awful human being and yet engaging with their music doesnt mean u condone that, and thats in the instance that u DO know the full extent, just as i dont think idols like newjeans were evil for seeing kanye, a music legend. although i personally wouldnt, morality isnt that black and white. anyway deadass no one has done more for charity than bts and majority of the time it's only been exposed later on by other sources, like jin anonymously volunteering for people who lost everything to the wildfires in korea, and suga teaching autistic kids music in secret for MONTHS before launching the hospital, doing so much for something SO stigmatised in korea. all of this is recent. after a decade plus of being constantly in the limelight, of having entire companies trying to gather dirt on you, people breaking into your homes and company building, constant stalkers etc, i think if they were awful people with terrible secrets, that would all be exposed by now. u cant fake ur personality for over 10 years of near-daily observation. theyve proven themselves to be good humans time and time again, mistakes dont change that. sorry for the essay but the hypocrisy and bullying of kpop stans is disgusting and breaks my heart for bts

@p1harmonyofficial why would they purposely choose to lose fans after campaigning for feminism several times in the past? how does that make any sense? why would they want that if they were fully aware of who cb was? rm is the only male idol on the korean incel list of certified feminists. since ive been an army hes gone viral on k-feminist side on like a weekly basis for things he's done and said that have helped their movement. he has made korean feminist stories go viral so many times in a society that gives them the silent treatment, for a man of his fame to constantly platform women who have been previously attacked and hounded by koreans (his choices in collabs for example), to platform queer artists and people of colour in every single project he does, and to constantly give credit where credit is due, it's clear that hes actually done MORE for these movements than any other idol. but hes not perfect, and whenever hes made mistakes, has repeatedly educated himself and bettered himself. like bro even went to feminist studies professors in the past, what male idol can say that ?? it's never been an immediate thing they announce to the public either, e.g their million dollar donation to blm wasn't immediate. they take time to educate themselves on issues rather than immediately feeding the public a story so they seem better than they actually are. theyre genuine. genuine people can also fuck up. i think if kpop stans imagine holding people in their real lives to the standards they hold bts, none of them would be able to. it's also worth noting that in korea, cb and usher are on the same level as michael jackson, p much. cb is studied by every single male idol when they train. as bts started as a rap and hiphop group, it's no wonder his and ushers music is well loved by them.

@p1harmonyofficial yes bc it's absolutely ridiculous. the entirety of kpop listens to chris brown including all the female ones and no one came for a single other idol, it's only bts that gets attacked bc kpop stans dont gaf about the actual issues, only about the #1 idol being removed from that spot. blackpink members have been literal friends with publicly known abusers like alexander wang and gone to kanye west concerts even after all his controversies yet no one says shit. i lived in korea for over a year and it's not infantilisation to acknowledge the reality that they're a very insular society. k-armys have already come out and said they had no idea about cb. if u think im exagurating my example is that i was part of Palestine protests in seoul for months, and it was a small group. a lot of gen z and millenial koreans we met on the street had 0 idea what was going on even though it had been MONTHS. obviously this is ignorance and it should be called out, but it's a wider societal issue. if we attack bts, is it safe to say that all the female idols who have publicly posted cb are also okay with what he did? or does that instead indicate that theyre uneducated and this is a wider issue of societal ignorance? when it comes to bts, i understand that it's slightly different as they are on a global scale, and knowledgable about hiphop and r&b culture, however i think bc of this people hold them to an unrealistic standard, esp rm as he speaks english, but people forget theyre a group of fully koreans unlike most kpop groups nowadays. i was disappointed to start with bc yes they should know better ideally, but i have common sense and can recognise why it's not a black and white situation, and that a mistake doesnt make u a bad person. we'd have to call every kpop idol a bad person in that case. i also think the biggest indicator that they arent aware of the extent of cb's issues is that bts and bighit kNOW their fandom is predominantly feminist women. -
