genuine question. why is y/n always a girl? I mean, it stands for "your name" right? so what if the reader is male or nonbinair? as a male reader, I find it pretty sad and sometimes annoying that the writers always use fem pronouns and terms ;-; . ofc ur allowed to use y/n and refer to a girl, just why is it normalized that y/n is a girl . literally all [person] x reader ffs are all for female readers. so like just at least put x female reader and it would be cool if in the future ff writers will use genderneutral and/or male pronouns/terms for y/n.
