ale reached his lips happily. it was stronger then he was use to, having a familiar kick to it. enough to soothe nerves and leave him actually relaxing in his chair that seemed mostly made of stag antler’s. blue eyes gently turned to the other, a mix of curiosity with a few other emotions. the lord’s head turned as he ignored the babble of his court and other noble’s around him.

“ you look capable with a sword, “ he’d start, his body lifting from his chair and pouring a cup of ale for the other. “ but, i need honesty. “ his fingers pushed the cup over to him, gaze settling on him gently. “ is this ale good? “

@beowulfs [she settles next to her father] as soon as i begin to rest my eyes, i see him. it is difficult. .. why are you not abed?

الرد

beowulfs

@draqriys no, their dislike for you needed no persuasion on my part. doesn’t matter, you’re already here. where’s jayne?
الرد

draqriys

by all means, though i hoped you’d have grown wiser with age. why is it so quiet here? have you demanded the castle to hold their tongue upon my arrival

@beowulfs [the prince knew he was in trouble, no, in /danger/. this was the first time he’s been home in months, most of his time having been spent workings (and frolicking) with the small folk. dinners were missed, important meetings were disregarded, and the times he was present (like now) were him.. being a young man.] .. father. [aery’s bites back his groan, he glances over at the empty spot in his bed and makes a note to pray to the saints that he sent her home long before his fathers arrival.] what’s the matter?
الرد

beowulfs

@ofsaltandsea [standing before him now was not the image of a king to whomever outside of this castle dared to witness but was that of a dragon—angry and short of patience—coming to collect his feeble egg. surely the spirit of his own father possessed him. why else were there a series of insults accompanied by harsh discipline that he’d never think before plaguing his mind? at his own mercy, he decides against them and settles for a harsh, bitten out:] get up.

@dragonslain well do you think it is often foreign faces of your caliber is witnessed here? white hair, whiter skin—someone ought to think you were an ugly ghost coming to haunt their walls. but yes. by my mother’s law, draakos is home to /even/ the wingless. .. what are you called, palehair?
الرد

dragonslain

wingless .. tch. you are the one who approached me, no? you were the one who stared at me like a whimpering stable-boy. [ there's a brief pause, before lilac eyes glanced in the other's direction. ] ──besides, at least.. draakos welcomes all, hm.

@beowulfs [alicent stifles a laugh] perhaps, but i meant fictional books, your royal highness.

@notbaed daybreaker is one of the many symbols of my house. the very thing that slain the giant king before my mother took the throne. dragons gave us liberation but the sword confirmed it. … would you like to hold it?
