So, being thrifty is harder than I thought it would be. Maybe I wasn't meant to be thrifty. 

Wow, February already. I'm enjoying being thrifty....so far. My fiction work is coming along nicely. I'm excited. ☺️

I love the year of thrifty!  I know that personally, I am trying to rid my life of excess things too!  I think we definitely live in a time with many materialistic people, me included, and I think it is wonderful you are trying to change that!
