"Why are you here?" he demanded, voice a low growl, words trembling on the edge of rage. "In my territory. In my empire. What do you want?"

V.S. took a step forward. One deliberate, measured step. The click of her boots echoed through the marble, sharp and intrusive-like a warning.

"You," she said, voice calm, steady, chillingly intimate. "Mr. Raghuvanshi."

Raghav's blood ran hot. Fury ignited, spreading like wildfire under his skin. He took two quick, sharp steps back-not in fear, but in preparation, predator acknowledging prey.

"Don't you dare come near me," he snapped, voice dropping to deadly calm, his hand drifting toward his gun. "I already have the world's prettiest wife. I don't allow anyone else near me."

She didn't step back. Didn't flinch. Instead, the rage in her eyes softened ever so slightly, revealing a different layer-cold, poised, untouchable.

"Maybe," she said quietly, almost casually, almost amused, "I'm prettier than her."

Every word struck him, sharp as a knife. His hand tightened around the gun, knuckles white, calm and lethal fury coiled like a spring in his chest.

"Leave. Now," he warned, voice low, measured, every syllable carrying the weight of lethal intent. "Or I won't think twice before shooting you where you stand."

Her voice softened. Not surrendering. Not frightened. Almost intimate.

"Your wife," she said quietly, her tone eerily calm, "is very lucky."

Aanya, stop," Adwait said, his voice slightly louder now, laced with warning.

She could see it-he was about to snap. Yes, yes, now he'll lose it, she thought, a thrill sparking in her chest.

But instead of reacting with anger, Adwait simply leaned back in the chair, eyes locked on hers. Then, without a word, he began to unbutton his shirt-slowly, deliberately-each movement exaggerated, until he yanked it off and tossed it aside.

Aanya's eyes widened. Her jaw dropped. Shock flooded her face.

"Ahhh! Shameless!" she shouted, spinning on her heel and making a dash for it.

But he was faster. Adwait stood in a flash, reached out, and caught her wrist mid-stride. She turned, her hand already balled into a fist, aiming straight for his face. But he caught it mid-air.

In one smooth motion, he twirled her under his arm like a dancer, then leaned in and pressed a bold kiss to her left cheek.

Her mouth dropped open again-outrage, disbelief, and something else flickering in her eyes.

She didn't hesitate. This time she lifted her knee, aiming for his stomach, but he caught her leg with ease. Sliding one arm under her knee and the other around her waist, he bent her slightly backward in a dramatic dip. Before she could wriggle free, he kissed her right cheek.

          Then-thud.

          He let go.

Aanya landed squarely on the floor, right on her backside.

Crossing his arms over his bare chest, Adwait looked down at her, a smug smile playing on his lips.

          "You lost," he said.

@shinni12345 not to be mean but you should not call them fuckers . They all are just trying to get their work to faces of recognition . Even the author doesn't have a problem . If you have just ignore them . No need to be rude .

Hey there!

Sorry to interupt your space and for using your account for this!!

We are new authors and writing a book for the first time so do give it a try!

          They weren’t dramatic about love.
          They were deliberate.
In the way he always stayed.
In the way she never had to ask.
There were no grand confessions—only steady presence, quiet understanding, and a bond that felt too safe to question. He carried her storms without flinching. She softened his silences without asking why.
          They didn’t fall loudly.
          They settled—slowly, deeply, inevitably.
          Years of knowing.
          Of choosing.
Of finding home in each other long before love was named.
This is the story of two people who didn’t chase love—
          they recognized it,
          and never let it go.
