Regular jo-shmo losers with masks and guns casually terrorizing people in the streets, taking them from their cars and to facilities where they can’t see their families and then deporting them to random countries around the world that they have NEVER been to. And now killing them too in broad daylight for rightfully want to defend the rights of the constitution.
Waking up everyday in this country is so strange. Wondering if today is the day you or a family member or friend of yours is going to get stopped by evil ICE agents and kidnapped and claimed to not be a U.S. citizen—passport, ID, or papers simply NOT being enough bc you are brown or have an accent and that is all they need. And you can’t do anything but suffer thru whatever these “guards” want to do to you, not be allowed to speak to ur family or friends, and then being deported to a prison in a country you’ve never been and speaking a language u might not even understand.
It’s so weird casually seeing videos of ICE agents attacking people, videos of people suffering thru the middle of a genocide and war (in several countries), watching the ocean’s ice melt, watching AI facilities using up all the drinking water in marginalized communities, watching children get shot in schools—all while incompetent foolish selfish leaders sit in their ballrooms and hit a golf ball on fields of green as their citizens get shot; not be able to afford medication; and parents cry out for children they lost to firearms.
I like to think that there are Carmen’s out there still in school and who are eager to get their hands on this political atmosphere and make it better.
