I grew up in the sadlands of south Manchester and have lived in Sydney, West Malvern and London (twice). I have recently moved to Conyer in Kent with my wife Carol and it is idyllic considering the circumstances.
When I was young, fresh out of art school,  I went to live in Metropolitan Wharf in Wapping in east London and learnt how to build, paint and design sets, backgrounds and props for theatre, opera,  TV  shows and commercials,.
I went freelance and concentrated on building sets and painting backgrounds  in London and then  Sydney, I exhibited and sold paintings and sculptures   in Manchester, London, Sydney, Great Malvern, Pershore and Bath. I have art directed, written, filmed and edited a few short films. Over the past 17 years  I have taught a lot of art and interior design classes  (and some ESOL) in Worcester and London.  Since my art school days I have written: children's stories, film scripts, short stories and novels; some are on kindle. At the moment I am organizing the building of a bloody big shed.
