          Chapter Eight of Don't blame me out now
          
          "I lied about somebody courting me," Lei'la mumbled, breaking the quiet silence between them. Neteyam's ears pricked up at the sound of her low voice. He definitely did not expect her to speak. Specifically, say that.
          
          Neteyam stayed silent, only letting out a small, surprised hum. A small smile tugged at his lips, which he quickly wiped off. "Why?"
          
          Lei'la scoffed, shaking her head in disbelief. "Because how embarrassing is it that nobody is courting me?" she stated. "I mean, I'm almost nineteen and nothing!"
          
          Neteyam chuckled under his breath, shaking his head teasingly. He looked up at her, seeing her tail wagging in agitation. "Well if it makes you feel better, I am not courting anybody as well."

Chapter 6 of Don't blame me out now!!!!!
          
          "You're a dick," she said, pushing him away, but Lo'ak quickly grabbed her wrist, pulling her back to his chest. Lei'la looked up at him, smiling sadly. Her hands rested on his chest, feeling his steady heartbeat calming her down instantly.
          
          "Lei'la..." he breathed, but was rudely interrupted.
          
          "Hey!" 
          
          The pair jolted apart, staring at the source of the interruption, their ears falling to their skulls. "We need to leave," Neteyam stated emotionlessly, walking past the pair to his Ikran.
          
          Lei'la dropped her head onto Lo'ak's chest in embarrassment. "I guess I'll see you in a month," she said sadly.
          
          "I'll see you in a month," he returned, kissing her temple.
