          bumbled off and bonked their head. 
          Baba blamed the bedspread 
          but Baby said, 
          Imma keep boppin' on the bed.

Super random quote: All of last year, they'd been pummeled by twelfth graders in nearly every tournament, so this year, against eleventh graders, their odds had improved tremendously. Improved from negative-hundred-percent-chance-and-never-in-a-million-years to somewhere-around-zero-percent-chance, but still.

Kwayo flew down from his perch in the ceiling rafters, shapeshifting behind Teremki. "Hi," he tapped Teremki on the shoulder.
          
          Teremki turned around. "I saw you flying down."
          
          Kwayo sighed. "You're lame. Why don't I ever startle you?"
          
          His eyebrows rose. "Trust me, Kwayo, you startle me plenty."

Randomly found this part of the story funny today: "Yeah," Kwayo raised his fist, standing up, "we were the ones who caught the bad guy. If anyone deserves a curfew, it should be the adults! They didn't do anything!"
          
          A few students half-heartedly cheered, but the rest just grumbled. "What would be the point of that?" Tara muttered. "A curfew just for the adults?"

          Ripple: I don't know, just somewhere big enough for my bed to go
