I've officially started writing the third installment of the Windmill series! You can read the prologue at https://www.wattpad.com/937278325

I just want to remind you that you are an absolutely amazing and wonderful person. ♥️ You deserve it, the world, and more! The one you love most will love you back, and if they don’t, it’s their loss. You’re wonderful! ♥️ Remember, I’m sending this to you because you are wonderful, amazing, and beautiful in your own special way!

Starting April 2020, I am revising and posting a new version of The Windmill Turns Both Ways . This new version will go into the old one, but because I am splitting the chapters into smaller, more manageable chunks, there will technically be WAY more chapters listed. (It's going to match the sequel in terms of chapter size).

There is also an updated cover, made for me by the wonderously talented i-drive-a-niisan on Tumblr!

The updated chapters will post fastest on AO3 if you want to read them ASAP. Ffnet and wattpad will get slightly slower updates due to the extra effort it takes for me to format (it's not *much* extra, but some days a little extra's enough, you feel me).

I'm excited about this update, and I hope it will make the story easier to read overall. Thanks for your patience while things are under construction!

this month I’ve tripped over a stumbling block, which isn’t surprising considering endings often take me a lot of time and struggle to do. Never an easy thing for me.

I thought I’d given myself plenty of time to get it done, but around the middle of the month I had so much of a block that I stopped working on it altogether. I should have foreseen this just by remembering what happened last time, but /shrug. At any rate, I hit a last-minute snag that requires rearranging some things, and now I’m finally back to working on it like a sensible person instead of a kindergartener who needs a nap and just wants to go home.

Nevertheless, I still feel confident that IWBTW will end in April. Chapter 40 will be the final chapter, and 41 will be a sort of epilogue, that may potentially be posted later in the year, in order to preserve my remaining sanity.

I have up to IWBTW chapter 32 posted, though I forgot to update it here during that time. But after a break, I’m back to working on it. Progress will be slow until after the holidays and my birthday in January, so I can’t estimate when updates will start back again. Sorry about that! For the past two years, I think, the way it’s turned out after the holidays is I had enough material to post by early to mid summer. But there aren’t a ton of IWBTW chapters left—10 or fewer, I’m thinking. So I don’t want it to take a super long time. We’ll see how it goes!

I Will Become the Wind chapter 21 posted!

The first 1-5 chapters of the second half will be on a two-week schedule, then it will switch back to a weekly schedule once I have the story finished or chapter 40 written, whichever comes first (as of this posting, I'm almost done with 32.) These chapters will also be more or less a setup for the endgame plot. I hope this works out okay. I just really wanted to get back to posting!

Part 2 will involve the Third War timeline much more, so allow me to gently acknowledge that I've adapted the logistics of that timeline to suit me instead of trying to make it, er, exactly accurate.

I do now have a 100% complete, fully finished outline with no gaps. YES. Now I know literally every scene, point by point, from chapter 21 onward to the end. The only thing I'm not certain of is how many words/chapters it will turn out to be.

Clearly, I'm not going to make it in time for June 1 this year--the interruptions I had in February/March really set me back. However, I do hope to get back to posting before the end of this summer. As soon as I have a real date set, I will add it to the schedule on the first page of IWBTW.

I have worked on writing some of IWBTW this month, but I also had some RL stuff to deal with.

Mainly, I was recently told that hours will be cut soon for several people at my workplace, including me. I have enough savings to fill the gaps for a while, and I'm grateful not to be booted entirely, but there is no way I can sustain myself on fewer hours for long. With that, and with personnel shifts placing higher workloads and pressure on those that remain--I definitely have to find a new job.

I'll work on IWBTW when I have the energy for it. Otherwise, my writing time will be limited to original projects, and the rest of it toward finding something else. I am very sorry, but I am not giving up on it. Just putting it on pause for right now.

It is alright! The real world excist too, and that is more important than writing a story.

Keep it up and good luck, Happy Easter
