Someone just asked me what is the best way to gain an audience when writing your first urban novel?.... Here's a tip for all. DO NOT BREAK THE FOURTH WALL!!!! I cannot stress this enough readers who have a high interest of reading will automatically hate the book....What I mean by fourth wall is "hey it's me raven" or "you see that picture above that's me" or the worst one I've seen " I gotta hurry up and get ready but I'll talk to yall later" LIKE WHAT? no no no. For one it shows lack in good quality writing and two it's not clear. Always stick to either first person " I/we"  third person "he/she/them" or omniscient. DO NOT BREAK THE FOURTH WALL.  Also be relatable and unique a lot of urban stories are the same because so many people write them. But there is room to be different. Instead of a drug dealer make him have regular legal job,instead of a nurse make her a social worker be different. instead of 15,16, & 17 year  olds doing as they please make them have morals. make them have 2 parent homes that aren't abusive. be unique and you will gain the audience. I hope I didn't knock or discourage anyone's books it's just my opinion.

At the moment I don't have writers block, ideas are literally running  everywhere in my brain its just that I've been busy,but no excuses. A little bit about me. I will be 18 In May. So with that being said started writing this book when I was about 14 or 15. Crazy right?! Like little girl get your life. Um I'm preparing for college while also finishing up my last year in High school. I will be attending East Carolina University in the fall of 2020. So now that I look back on this book I realized some things that I could've did better but now I have time to get it right.  Anything you need to talk about you can always ask me. Ok guys it has been almost 3 years and I want to aplogize first and foremost. I left you all hanging and as an author and as a reader of my own that's not cool. I haven't been on this page in 2 years and coming back seeing all the love has inspired me to FINISH permanent Ink. I'm glad you all are falling in love with the book and I'm loving the comments, even the many arguments and disagreements. I love you all expressing yourselves keep doing it.
