[neriah muses, eyes narrowing as the silence swallows the two of them. what’s left was only their conversation, standing in front of one another as the dim atmosphere seemed to only light up by the ‘deity’ which stood in front of the owner of the land before it.]        neriah, or at least, that is what they called me.

(her gaze lingers on the stranger with quiet intent, voice like a soft echo in a hollow chamber) this land is one of many lost tales. Its people unable to carry their stories beyond the veils of time, their voices swallowed by the silence that follows ruin. (a faint, knowing smile touches her lips.) but it seems youre in luck, for i am one of the few who holds the secrets many have forgotten. (aldara steps closer, her presence calm, yet commanding, as if carrying the weight of a thousand lifetimes) i am aldara. keeper of legacy (...) if you will, I'd like to also know the name of the one who seeks.

            ✧  THEY’RE LIKE THE BEST SORT OF BATTERY YOU COULD EVER FIND TO PUT IT IN SIMPLER TERMS

         I do not find myself so enamoured or fond, as of now,  so i would simply put it down as intrigue; curiosity.

        It is only natural to be curious of your entire opposite.     however endearing?   I would not agree on such a term.

     `     i still do not understand your desire,  but if you find it so .. mesmerising that you are before me again,  I  may as well hear what you have to say. 

       I have no reason to leave.  we are simply talking, no?      (  their answer came incredibly dull,   and so was how they held themselves.  perfectly still,  shoulders squared to posture and arms loose by their sides; not cautious, not nervous, merely .. casual.  they simply watch as it grows closer. )       what is their to know?  I am not so enigmatic that I would draw such a gaze.

[it muses, drawing closer with each step as blue irises remain fixated on the other. there’s a playful tilt of their head, watching carefully of their body language.]       i can assure you, i am truly curious. i wish to know more of you.

        the cold?     (  they repeat,  eyebrows narrowing over so slightly.  bernadette could only sigh, and inwardly disagree with such intrigue.  )    I'm afraid it is simply not something worth wishing to understand.  there is nothing more isolating than such as the cold.

@verzsesang       ⟢    [unlike the other, neriah has never known the cold. too easily fuelled by the warmth which it surrounds themselves. however, it cannot help but be drawn to the desolate atmosphere. the way the cold licks at it’s skin, yet never fully touches. the being leans closer, indulging in the dream—or nightmare. a smile brought to it’s lips, as curiosity grows. irises returning back to the festivities unfurling before the two.]      i don’t believe i have the right attire. would you join me? it feels wrong to be alone.

i find you silly.  [Its head tilts, curiously watching the humans below. music and dance, the smell of food in the air with song and joy. Its own presence dampens the atmosphere — It is cold. cold to the touch, like a corpse.]  humans are interesting (i suppose..), though i have been observing and collecting their souls for an eternity. i grow.. tired. if you want to understand, then you should join them below. be.. ‘festive’.

[the creature’s blue orifices shift, gaze lowering to those running about during the festival. it was summer, after all, and neriah had learned that from this season—many would be out and about.]       do you not enjoy it as well, i have seen you observing them just as i have.
