Love Never Dies was made into a professional musical with professional theatre actors (like Sierra Boggess, for example), and it was based on a Phantom of the Opera fanfic from the 80s.
          That’s like if I were to get Josh Groban to act out my Sweeney Todd fanfics.
          
          (In all seriousness, may he never know that those exist, because my god, that would be embarrassing)

@bland_bean They basically blamed Mrs. Lovett for everything, and even said that she orchestrated Lucy’s poisoning. Like, it’s okay to headcanon that, but this person was acting as if that was the solid truth. I respect other people’s opinions, I just personally don’t like when people treat Mrs. Lovett like a pure evil villain. I think she’s at her best and most interesting when she’s seen as more complex. Also, this person was one of the many who said that Lovett is the reason why Sweeney kills people and that it’s all her fault, even tho Sweeney was already planning on killing Turpin, and killing the others was his own choice that she had no influence on. She only offered to help afterward.
