Does anyone have any cool ideas on promoting my story?

I’ve seen people do an illustrated guide of some sort, but idk if that would be a good idea considering my cast is made up of other people’s ocs. So I might save that one for later.

I’m also planning on having a graphics chapter made, would anyone be interested in a graphics competition or maybe a gallery?

Please give me your ideas! I hope to finish act 1 sometime next week! Be prepared for updates!

@PilindielTheElf this is so true, I remember being on wattpad some years ago and it was thriving. The chats and the community definitely made it easier.

I do like the contest idea! Maybe when I’m finished with it that would be a good idea. Maybe I’ll host a contest sometime! I think that would be fun. I also plan to release more fics in the future so hopefully that’ll help too!

            Thank you! <3

@Bugaboo_Topaz Yeah, unfortunately, it's super hard to promote your stuff on Wattpad these days. It was easier in the past when there was like an activity feed and DMs and more community on here but alas, those days are over. Honestly, if you're talking about O Children, the issue probably is that it's a revamp and the people who applied their OCs are probably inactive in the year that it was gone?? Not too sure what you can do about that.

As a general thing for other stories if you start working on multiple projects, I think one good way is to submit them to contests. It'd be best if it was a fandom-base competition but there aren't many of those these days, but multifandom contests aren't terrible. Also interacting with other people. You shouldn't read someone else's stuff with the expectation that they'll read yours in return, but it may help spread your name. Sorry I can't be of more help; it really is just rough out here.
