Finally took down what I'd published of my first Treading Twisted story. I just couldn't keep up with them as a side project when I don't even have time for my main project. Been putting off actually unpublishing the chapters for ages... didn't feel great to do. I'll hold on hope that if I'm ever somehow successful I'll be able to take a little time to do these up and just pop them up one time... and eventually write the rest of them. I do love these stories, but I don't think they'll ever be a priority :( Or maybe I'll publish them slowly as one massive project one time instead of a bunch of short stories... I don't know. I do want to re-share them eventually, but I guess it just isn't the time :( Thanks so much to anyone who did give the first few chapters a look :) So, back to one solitary short story I wrote almost 10 years ago... oh well :)

Hello lovely people :) Thought I should give a little background info, in case anyone decides to have a look at the Treading Twisted Lines stories.
          I started writing them in 2011, a long time ago now, when I was working as an English teacher just south of Kyoto. My time in Japan greatly influenced this series. However, I am not Japanese and it was not my intention to do anything but lovingly and respectfully reflect aspects of Japanese culture in this modern fantasy world. If I have failed in this in any way, please don't hesitate to let me know. Even if it's something as basic as place names (most of which are directly derived from the Japanese language). If you come across anything cringy or inappropriate or disrespectful, please tell me. Hopefully any such issues would be fixable.
          Thank you so much if you do give these stories a read. I would treasure any  votes and comments you're wiling to give me :)
          Also, is releasing a chapter per week for shorty stories not such a good idea? There are nine chapters overall in The Chosen Voice... would it be better to post a chapter a day or every two days for shorter stories like this?

Teetering on the edge of hitting publish on the first chapter of a story. You'd think it wouldn't be that hard, given an old version was an e-book. Argh... I really need to get better at just putting things out there and trying not to worry. Hopefully before I go to bed tonight... and just caught myself re-reading the word "teetering" over and over again to make sure it's still a word.
