@blueranger11 Hi Emily, HOpe this finds you well? W are having a lot of wet weather here to remind us that summer is over once again.
          I rescued an old pear tree in my garden about three years ago. I cut it right back and nursed it into growth. This year it has blossomed and given us an abundance of small, but extremely sweet, firm fruits. WE had friends around for dinner on Thursday and for nibbles with drinks  before we sat down at the table we all stood around the tree, picking and eating its fruit, chatting, joking and drinking. It was novel and great. Who needs peanuts?

Hi Emily, hope your weekend is passing well?
          I am actually staggered by the number of chapters of Cousins you have read. Most of these have only been rough edited so far and I intend rewriting extensively after I have finished writing the story.Thanks for all of your votes, tremendous and I really am  grateful. I shall be posting the next chapter tomorrow or Monday -watch out for it. I am dedicating it to you! Best Wishes. Hobnails.

@Hobnails Although I have yet to find an instance where the language used is abnormal or off in any way I will definitely notify you if I find one. -Emily☺

@blueranger11  Glad to hear things are good with you Emily and that you are enjoying Cousins- it gets a bit dark in places  where characters are preying on the young and vulnerable. 
            With support like you are giving the story puts me on a roll. Thanks for that!
            You'll know I'm not an American and yet I am writing this about fictional Americans and an Englishman in Nebraska. IF I get something very wrong- like kids or people don't talk that way or anything that's badly not right- will you tell me please? apart from spelling, that is. I know I have to do something about that later. enjoy the rest of your weekend.
