          	I screamed as the ride jolted forwards, but in exhilaration rather than fear. Luca laughed beside me and I laughed along with him. Usually I would have attempted to be smooth and take his hand, but the fair ride restricted my ability to do that. So instead, I sat back and enjoyed the ride until it slowed to a half and the man let us and Mary-Jane off it.
          	
          	“Where are the others?” she asked James, who was waiting for us.
          	
          	“They went on the carousel…again,” James rolled his eyes. I’d have taken his annoyance a lot more seriously if he hadn’t been holding a stick of candyfloss.
          	
          	“Let’s go watch them!” Mary-Jane said pointedly; I think she’d picked up on the issue of Luca and I. James sighed but reluctantly rushed off with her.
          	
          	“Want to go for a walk?” Luca murmured in my ear; I looked around to make sure no one was watching, but everyone was acting in a similar fashion as the noise was too loud to talk over without being close.
          	
          	I’ll just have to live my entire life in a fairground, then.
          	
          	“Sure,” I nodded, and we walked off together. The lights were bright, and I spotted a cart selling sweet ice. I frowned, remembering Oliver, but Luca took my hand and I instinctively forgot my own name, let alone any relationship I had with Oliver.
