long and serious post. normally i wouldn't care about dream's drama, but he crossed a line.
i know autistic people, and seeing someone i love watching and whose community made me feel happier use such a disgusting and offensive slur targeted towards autistic/less able-bodied people genuinely has me pissed off.
like tubbo said in one of his recent streams: having or not having an autism diagnosis does not give you the right to use ableist slurs. had he posted the exact same meme WITHOUT the r slur, it would've had the same amount of comedy effect.
there was no need for him to get involved in this drama, he wasn't once mentioned. it was between tommy and xqc, not dream. sure, you found the meme funny, but don't fucking post that shit man?? i don't care if you're neurodivergent or not, using any sort of slur is unacceptable and rude.
im gay, and yes i call myself a fag as a joke, but i would never in a million years call someone else it. it's incredibly insensitive and morally wrong.
also. dream privately contacting tommy's mum is overstepping a HUGE personal boundary. had he sent the same private message to his public twitter, it would've reeled in his followers and stopped them being so rude to sarah. i understand that he did it to try and "protect" her, but don't do it through a private dm, and especially don't do it when she's going through a really tough divorce for a marriage that lasted 20+ years. you're a 25 year old man, and she's the mother of one of your ex-friends. it's wrong on so many levels.
even if you meant it as a lighthearted joke or as rage bait to draw attention to yourself before releasing a new video or song, you did it the wrong way. yes, post a meme. but post an unoffensive meme. make a tweet. but make a lighthearted tweet.
stop manipulating your younger, impressionable followers and fans by making yourself out to be an innocent victim of bullying or abuse. it's wrong.
get off the internet. go to therapy. better yourself.

@bookdragon69 sorry for the late reply but yeah agreed- with george and cati i was willing to say neither is right or wrong and thwat was a miscomunication (atleast with what was proven and seemed true) With tommy and dream? atleast for me, while im undecided on my next steps my honest thoughts are fuck both of them. Dream apparently lied and purposely cut things out of context which is a big no no- inthis he is as bad as tommy- I don't like tommy, i havent for years and i have defended dream in most of his dramas but there is a line. Dream crossed it and i don't think he could come back anytime soon. he should have just shut the fuck up. dude your 25 not 14 same with tommy- your adults.

@thatonegayhomie EXACTLY however i would like to add that its been said that george had gotten up and sat back down multiple times, and yet caiti went back to him and cuddles up against him again and again, and had multiple opportunities to get up and leave. don't get me wrong, im in no way victimising george or anything. it sucks that caiti felt like george was harassing her in a way, and i feel bad for her. but the whole situation wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been or how it seems. i think both caiti and george are at fault, as well as tommy and dream. tommy and dream both said fucked up things but they all couldve been handled in private and not posted all over twitter and reddit n shit

@ bookdragon69 I AGREE. This whole situation is so fucked up. It's so disrespectful to use slurs, even if it is a 'joke'. I left the fandom a while ago but i saw Tommy's video on my feed and I was shocked to hear about that. I don't have twitter so I didn't know what was going on so I was really confused at first, but I saw the tweet on TikTok and its really fucked up. He needs to fix himself
