          born and raised in tokyo , japan ; astro may not 
          look japanese , but he definitely considers himself 
          part of the race . his pregnant mother fled from 
          england before his birth after escaping the 
          clutches of the italian mafia . he was born in japan , 
          where his mother married an english teacher and 
          raised her son until he reached the age of six . his 
          mother was eventually caught by mobsters , and 
          murdered . his father ended up getting caught 
          up in the drama and was also murdered , 
          resulting in astro becoming an orphan . he ended
          up growing up in an orphanage . after his 
          eighteenth birthday , he was already in the process 
          of becoming one of the countries greatest 
          detectives . he eventually set out to find the 
          mobsters that murdered his parents , only to get 
          caught up in his detective work . he still has not 
          found the men who murdered his family .
