          White women, we need to get it TOGETHER. 
          
          Because we all know damn well that if it were a white baby shot in a Walmart parking lot, a white child that got left by their friends and was found dead, or a white woman hanging from a tree? 
          
          Oh it would be EVERYWHERE. 
          
          AND justice would be served with an incredible amount of swiftness. No one would be blaming the grieving mothers or the victims, and the families would have had answers YESTERDAY. 
          
          We can continue to say we're "friends" and "allies" all we want, but that isn't enough. We need to start ACTING like friends and ACTING like allies. Protecting Black communities and other People of Color like we would protect friends.
          
          And yes, it is uncomfortable and yes it is inconvenient. But that is the price of community, and we are more than capable of contributing that.

            Yes I will! I have four jobs so time is a bit hard, but thankfully as a sped teacher we get July off -- I'm going to try to be writing my ass off until we start up again!
