The year is 3012 and the world is in chaos. The nineth world war has come with a vengence . In order to protect America ,the goverment has declared that one child per family must be signed over to the draft . To ensure this is carried out groups of trained soliders called "packs" are sent into each district to retrive the children that the goverment has choosen to be drafted .
alastair is 20 years old and lives in the callaster district . His parents were killed two years ago in an aerial attack from spain and britain . leaving him to care for his ten year old sister natalia . Due to the drafting they live underground , where he works as a ammunation factory worker to support them . Everyday he hears the packs are comming closer and closer to the underground community . will he be able to save natilia ? or will he pay the untimate price to protect his most prescious possession?
lucy is sixteen years old and lives in the scarlette district . her mother died in child birth with her twin younger brothers , her father committed sucied three years after her mother died. she has an older brother in the air force ,whom last time she herd went mia over what was left of france.
