I got lost trying to find a Best Western one night traveling with my daughter to her biking comp. Around midnight, I asked a policeman at a donut shop for directions. I circled that pitch dark lake 3 times passing the same donut shop without seeing the hotel. Too embarrassed to stop and ask him for the directions again, I made a wrong turn and drove into the lake. See what I mean about travel stories. So much material. Lol!
