Okay, so this is the only place I’ve spoken about this except with friends. I gotta say, it’s taken me a full day to actually process the fact that Malcom McCormick, known by millions of people as Mac Miller, passed away. It’s so hard to think because like, he helped me get through some of the worst shit. When I was suicidal and at my lowest, I remember hearing, “People change and things go wrong but just remember life goes on.” and that shit spoke to me. I’m not gonna sit here and say that Mac was perfect cause he wasn’t and he fucking knew it. But he understood people and he used his lyrics to express his feelings and he was a genuine person—something rare in media nowadays. Mac Miller is going to be called so many bad things because he had an addiction, and that’s what bothers me so much. He was a twenty-six year old singer who made music for him and for his fans, but some people are going to belittle him to a junkie, not even caring that he was this amazing guy and he helped people and even Post Malone said Mac was one of his IDOLS. I just had to get this off my chest.
