I know it’s been a long time since I’ve been on here but to say this year has been a wild ride for me would be an understatement. I didn’t know all the things the human body could go through and still make it to the other side. I am proud to tell you all that I am officially cancer free. This year has been so hard on me mentally, emotionally, and physically. I’m not done by any means. Up next is immunotherapy, trying to build back my muscles and talking to a specialist for my BRCA1 gene. I have a 58% chance of getting ovarian cancer next so I have some decisions to make. I will try to write when I can but this is still pretty tough stuff so I’ll do my best. Thank you to everyone who has remained patient with me this year and to the knew followers who are just learning of my journey <3 I love you all

I just saw your post about your diagnosis, I’m so sorry for what is happening, I hope everything is looking up for you. How are you feeling/doing? 

Hey babe, I’m a silent reader but I know you found out you were sick not to long ago. Which am so sorry to hear about. I know just how scary the disease can be. With that said I just wanted to check in on you and see how you are doing?  Sending all my love to you and hoping for a fast recovery. I know the journey might be hard but you got this and all of us are here to cheer you on <3

I hope everything is alright 

135 days… that’s how long I’ve lived with the diagnosis of breast cancer so I decided it was time for a life update. 
          
          I was diagnosed with locally advanced triple negative breast cancer, bilaterally. I couldn’t feel the lump on the one side as it’s back against my chest wall. I was stage 3.
          
          Upon further testing, we discovered that I have the BRCA1 gene which means that I had a 65% chance of getting breast cancer… lucky me. 
          
          This also means I have a 58% chance of getting ovarian cancer. 
          
          I have 3 chemo treatments left (the one lump has gone from the size of a golf ball to the size of a pencil eraser) and then I will be having a double mastectomy and reconstruction in October. 
          
          December is when I will see a specialist about my options (about my ovaries). At the moment I don’t know if I will ever be able to have kids or if I even should. I have a 50/50 chance of passing it on to my kids. 
          
          All of this is still weighing on me, but I’m trying to write. It might be a slow process to publishing but I’m working on it. I haven’t forgotten about you all!
