            basically: he posted a video saying he's leaving the sidemen. because it's taking tm time and he can't put his full potential n effort in, & he wants to create a life with balance for his partner n family alongside his work & so he's deciding to leave the sidemen.
            everyone initially thinks it's a joke 'til a few hours later sidemen post on their socials that it's true... and after sidemen later made vids + speak on it, they discuss how JJ posted that video before the sidemen had agreed to break news to fans & sidemen didn't have a statement prepared & weren't expecting jj to post that... especially because jj posted it a couple hours before tobi & ethan were playing at socceraid which kinda overshadowed such a big achievement for them
            
            since then a lot of fans have been saying that sidemen prob hate JJ, JJ left sidemen to produce slop 67-child-focussed content to compete with MrBeast, JJ is a sellout, JJ is disrespectful to his friends for breaking news he's leaving before an agreed date... 
            
            and different news sources are claiming to have "insider info" with different narratives - some being that the sidemen apparently froze JJ out & made it v difficult for JJ to coordinate posting the vid w the rest of the boys, while other sources are claiming that JJ has to post the video because someoen had leaked the news to a news source & JJ wanted to be the one to break news - not have rumours passed through dailymail & the sun before he could say it
            
            overall? just gossip and speculation with the only real change being that JJ wont be in vids anymore
