Oh duffer brothers you will always be dickheads. Fools is what we were for expecting straight white men to actually grant us the wish of making a queer ship canon in a series about outcasts, weirdos and weird things, because it’s unrealistic as if this show is the slightest bit realistic

The concept of having every straight person in your series end up with someone at they were heavily pushed with by the plot, and even for those that didn’t (e.g Steve) they at one point had a canon romantic relationship, even despite being broken up now, additionally, introducing a whole new character and giving them their own episode, so they can end up with someone in the main cast that isn’t in a canon relationship, without being much of a part of the main crew, just so that that specific character can end up with someone from the main cast only to be thrown out the window so we can have a "full circle moment" in which a potential love interest from like a bunch of seasons ago who rejected them can be a potential love interest again, meanwhile the only TWO (robin and will( OUT OF THREE confirmed, queer characters, (Vickie: bi or Les, Robin: Les, Will: gay) have the only ones who have their feelings unrequited for someone they’ve liked for years because it’s “realistic” and “just a silly crush” , and the only canon queer couple that does end up together, is left ambiguous as to whether they are still together or not anymore, high chance they aren’t stated by the creators, because high school/just school in general relationships don’t last long yet, max and Lucas’s did, as well as Nancy n Jonathan, but they’re straight so don’t question it, and then the whole plot line of the two main characters potentially getting together, which is shown being built up too time in time again, is smashed down to the ground because it’s “realistic” and then will ends up with some random guy instead, not even leaving will and Mike’s relationship up for interpretation, just like el’s ending or robin and Vickie’s ending because the writers refuse to leave open any room for the potential of Byler being real depending on how you want to view it, because god forbid a queer ship thrive in a piece of media for general audiences.
