⠀ ⠀had  to  drag  in  a  body.  needed  proof  to  get  the  reward.  annoying,  but  necessary  sometimes.

[  he  blinked  for  a  second,  clearly  not  expecting  to  actually  be  put  in  charge.  he  glanced  around  the  street  quickly  before  gesturing  a  little  awkwardly  down  the  sidewalk,  starting  to  walk  that  way  with  a  small,  uncertain  nod.  ]   there’s  a  park  not  too  far  from  here.  it’s  not  anything  special  but  it’s  quiet.  [  jaylan  kept  his  pace  just  slightly  slower  than  normal,  like  he  was  making  sure  abel  stayed  beside  him.  he  glanced  over  at  him  briefly,  then  looked  away  again,  a  faint  smile  forming.  ] 
            
            and  —  about  having  a  girlfriend  ,  i  just  thought  you'd  be  the  type  of  guy  to  have  one.  most  seniors  do.  [  he  winced  slightly  right  after  saying  it,  glancing  down  at  the  footpath.  ]   . . .  that  sounded  weird.  i  just  meant  you’re  ,  you  know.  popular.  i  guess.  [  his  voice  trailed  off  again,  awkward  but  soft,  before  he  pushed  through  it  with  a  quieter  tone. ]

            【 he gave a small shrug, easy and unbothered, letting jaylan fall into step beside him. there was that faint smirk again, teasing lightly at jaylan’s disbelief. 】

@2tequila     [   he  fell  into  step  beside  abel  ,  a  little  hesitant  at  first  ,  hands  tucked  loosely  in  his  pockets.  he  glanced  up  at  abel  ,  a  shy  smile  tugging  at  his  lips  ,  cheeks  still  faintly  flushed.   jaylan  shrugged  slightly  trying  to  act  casual  ,  but  there  was  a  hopeful  lilt  in  his  voice  ,  a  quiet  eagerness  to  spend  time  together  despite  feeling  a  little  out  of  place.   ]
            
            maybe  we  could  just  walk  around  for  a  bit  if  it's  alright  with  you ?  wait  ,  we  should  visit  the  park  abel  :p           and  "no  girlfriend" ?  —  i  don't  believe  that  for  a  second.

he let out a huff  ,  shaking his head to voice his frustration.  "people  ..  no think.  can't  ..  appreciate."  the ocean was full of wonder  —  everything in it had its own story.  "mm  ..  ocean  ..  grew up.  uh  —  by it.  saw lots.  ocean like  ..  friend."  he tried to explain with both his limited vocabulary and not being able to state the full truth.
            
            "what  ..  me like?"  he questioned while perking up  ,  hands raising to give a few claps of excitement.  he loved it when customers asked him about the stuff within the shop  ,  but it was even better when they asked about his opinions! 
            
            "sand dollars  —  starfish!"  he happily exclaimed while pointing to each item as mentioned.  "sad and  ..  nice.  are dead  ..  "  he had ensured mr .  fujiwara only sold those that had met a natural death.  "  —  but pretty.  death not  ..  bad.  natural.  not always  ..  bad."

@softsounds-   [  he  watched  quietly  ,  gaze  softening  at  the  care  taken  in  each  movement.  ]  you get it  ,  [  he  murmured ,  a  small  breath  of  a  laugh  escaping  him. ]  most  people  just  see  decoration  , but  it's  much  more  than  that.  thank  you  uh  ,  any  other  trinkets  you  like  other  than  seashells  ?  you  seem  pretty  passionate  about  them.  wait  did  i  catch  your  name ?

aukai perked up at the words  ,  head nodding in a quick form of agreement.  "sense!  understand  —  shell see more  ..  place  —  than many people.  even here  —  life moves  ..  continues."  he smiled at the other as he went to package away the shells.  he did his best to pick ones he thought suited the other before carefully wrapping them up.

@woodsboroslasher   curfew ,  uh  ,  something  like  that.  we  should  head  out  now  then  shouldn't  we ?

@woodsboroslasher   i'll  tag  along.  it's  not  too  much  of  a  long  walk  there,  but  i'll  have  to  be  home  before  6.
