The last time I opened this app to write, it was 2022 and I was finishing school. Now it's the end of 2024, and I am half-way through my pre-final year of college.
On a more personal note, Wattpad is something that has occupied the core of my teenage years. I really got to know a lot of things, and this even makes me a bit nostalgic of my Instagram account (which I deleted) where I gave Wattpad recommendations and memes. It was original stuff even though it was a bit cringe.
In my time away from this app, I actually have broadened my perspective on love. And on the world itself, the relationships it harbours and the complexity it possesses.
Regarding romance, earlier, it was just what I read but now, having experienced the complexity and the realness of a relationship, I can safely say that I have more empathy towards my characters that I did not possess while I originally wrote these things.
