And people will always dislike great stories if they don't know how to look beyond the context and find the meaning to the story. Like what does the love between Zayden and Maylie mean? That love could exist beyond social boundaries. Well, that's how I see it. Ah, I think I've said too much. An author should always be worried about pleasing the readers, that what makes good authors work hard. Praises are a power boost and criticism is a challenge from the reader that says "Try harder, and let's see where that takes you."
