Hi guys!! Sorry as always that it has been a while, I've been dealing with personal stuff. But as requested, here is a little bit of sneak peek at the next chapter for BET to hopefully make up for the lack of posts a little bit! Please let me know what you think and what you're excited for in the coming chapters! :)
My phone buzzes in my pocket and I see Simon’s picture on the screen next to a text message.
Spring Break. Already paid for. Your ass is coming, don’t be difficult.
The words on the screen of my phone are as stern as if Simon was saying them to my face, which is now twisted up in confusion at my spring break plans already being made for me without my permission. Another message pops up right after with a link to a location and an attached travel itinerary.
On the way home, I click on the message again, hovering over Simon’s picture before pressing the call button and bringing the phone to my ear. He answers after a few rings.
“Hello?”
“Hey,” I respond, searching for my keys in my pocket.
“Did you get my message?” he asks, not wasting any time.
“I didn’t expect you to be the one with the itemized travel itinerary,” I say, answering his question.
“I hate when things are unorganized.” he says simply.
I snort and shake my head. “I’m sure, Mr. Bateman.”
“Is this you being difficult, Kasia?” he asks, sighing. “I think I specifically asked you to not do that.”
“Come on, I have to be the least difficult person you’ve ever met.” I smile around my words.
“You’re in the top 5 percent.” he responds quickly.
I roll my eyes. “Yeah, keep talking in percentages and itineraries, I’m close.”
“God, you’re almost unbearable.”
“Still want me to come?”
Simon doesn’t seem to hesitate on the other side of the call. “You’re coming, or I’ll really show you Patrick Bateman.”
I can see his all too familiar glare slipping away to reveal the smirk even over the phone. I bite my lip to stop myself from grinning ear to ear.
“I’ll be there.”
