It's been a while since the last time I updated HIT.
Honestly, after receiving an unpleasant message regarding my updates, I really lost my willingness to update, even though HIT is already completed offline. I know I'm very much of a turtle when it comes to posting updates. As much as I want to be consistent, I also have a life outside writing, and I will never, ever want to publish a chapter that hasn't been properly edited.
Proofreading is very challenging for me because I really try my best to read every single word to make sure there are no typos or other errors. Of course, it's still not perfect. Before publishing a chapter, I always make sure that it's decent enough to give my readers a good time while reading. It may not be flawless, and there are still inconsistent apostrophes or quotation marks since I write on Google Docs and edit the chapters in a different application, but at least I manage to give you a decent read. Hindi iyong masakit sa mata.
That's one of the reasons why updating takes time. I spend hours battling with my screen, editing and re-editing until I'm satisfied with the chapter. It may look like I'm just taking too long to post, but there's actually a lot that happens before I hit that publish button. If you think you're not built for this kind of setup, where you're reading an ongoing story with inconsistent updates, I advise you to drop the book and pick it up again once it's completed, if you still want to read it, of course.
As much as possible, I don't want to taint this space with unnecessary hate or negative vibes because this is the only place where I can be myself. This is the only space where I can show the most vulnerable part of me, and that is writing. Unapologetically. I know we all have our own lives outside wattpad, so I hope we can respect each other's time.
