You can find me on TikTok again — my username is the same as here: camlovesf1. I’ve already posted my full take on the sexualization theme there, so feel free to check it out. I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!

I’ve been following the discussions about the sexualization of Lando and other real people, and honestly, I have a bit of a controversial take on this. I truly believe that most creators don’t actually intend to sexualize the real person.
When I read fanfiction, I treat it strictly as fiction. The truth is, none of us actually know these people privately. Beyond a name, a face, and a career, everything else is just a character we've built from scratch. If you swapped the name 'Lando' for 'Louis,' the 'issue' would vanish instantly—which proves it’s the name, not the content, that people are reacting to.
I don't think any author I follow is intentionally trying to force readers to imagine a real human being in an intimate setting. Even in the spiciest scenes, I’m not looking at a real person; I’m looking at a fictional version created by the author. To me, the person on TV and the character in a story are two completely different entities.

@itz__addie Put your story back, please! I really want to finally read it :) As for the rest- I talked with Iza about what’s going on on TikTok, and she also said that she feels obligated to delete some of her bots (that part I understand, because you can’t control what others do with suggestive bots). She unpublished her story because there are still people who don’t see the difference between reality and fiction. Personally, I would just show those people the middle finger and still do what I want. If someone doesn’t like what you do, they can always block you. :) I may be back on TikTok soon just to piss off those who try to act like saints, but I bet they are the first ones to use cai for spice

@LizInTheFastLane I think if someone doesn’t like that part of the story, they are free to skip it or not read it at all. None of you should feel pressure to change everything right now just because someone doesn’t understand what you’re doing. :)

thank you for speaking up about it. we are responsible for what we write and not responsible for what others decide to do or not with it. the main issue here is the way most people focus on the spice and ignore the whole context and story around it. and with that, by deforming our real intention, it causes this — and yes i’ve fallen into it and i regret it. i took my own story down and kept my real opinion for myself because i felt this “pressure” and “judgement” i shouldn’t have (bcs on tiktok it went a little too far for my liking). some people don’t get the line between reality and fiction and that’s why we are where we are now.
