@canniluvs, play well and true, i suppose. [and she had made sure that it was made perfectly. by skilled hands whom had been experienced with the art of needle and thread since her own, despite the years she had tried to master it, was proven feeble and uneven. someone of their stature—however low it may have been—deserved the best, she thought. the fabric was heavy and fur cladded. it was meant to withstand the iciest of winters and endure for a long time. and, it was theirs] you don’t have to take it if you do not like it, friend … you will not offend me. it’s been a goal of mine to begin giving gifts i just didn’t have the time nor found the right person—until now, i think.

@canniluvs જ⁀➴ ❲ 1⃨ … ❳ TREVOR LAUGHS AT THE IRONY OF THEIR SITUATIONS. THEN, HE LAUGHS AGAIN AT THE OBVIOUS IRRITATION THAT BUBBLES UP WITHIN THE ELVEN BARD. PERHAPS THERE’S AN ARROGANCE IN LAUGHING AT A MATTER LIKE THIS, BUT THERE WASN’T NEARLY ENOUGH SENSE IN A MAN LIKE TREVOR. INSTEAD, A FINGER POKES AT THE RIPPED FABRIC OF THEIR SHIRT. ⧼ ﹙₀₁﹚ ⇽ ❝ Your fussing has been acknowledged. But I prefer to do something about it instead of talking. there is blood here. footprints of an animal i do not know. perhaps it is wounded but i do not hear it or smell it close by. [ her hand rests over her chest. ears drooping. ] i wonder if it was carried off. poor thing. the brush is too thick for me to see where the footprints end.

Mahikan’s own steps are quiet, purposely avoiding the creaky floorboards. “I’m hearing a lot of quiet threats, but no action. I’m starting to think you are all (bark) and no bite. Though, maybe I shouldn’t push you far, I’m sure you’ll prove me wrong.” They turn to face Lucian, a knowing look plastered to their face, as if egging him into a situation he might not be able to get out of. “But something tells me that I already have your good graces in my hand, you won’t harm me.” Of course, it’s all speculation, based on the small glimpse they caught of the other man, slightly caught off guard by their boldness. It’s a tad bit funny to see another squirm, just to regain themselves like nothing had happened. The amusement shows, the way their shoulders shake, an attempt to stop themself from bursting into laughter.

“I’ve been a terrible host, not even offering you something to drink. How about something to eat? I have plenty to share, many supplies to extend to someone who would be grateful to have something filling.”

[ Lucian doesn’t flinch at the touch, but his pupils blow wide, swallowing the iris as his pulse spikes against the very skin Mahikan brushes. He remains a statue of tense muscle, his jaw locked, watching the traveler retreat with the unblinking intensity of a hawk marking a target. As the distance grows, he slowly lifts his fingers to his cheek, pressing into the spot where the warmth lingers as if trying to crush the sensation. ] " Careful, Mahikan. "

[ His voice is a ghost of a sound, barely more than a vibration in the air. He tilts his head, a sharp, jagged grin finally breaking his composure as he begins to prowl toward the traveler again, his footsteps entirely silent. ] " You’re inviting a wolf to look under your skin. Don't be surprised when I find the bone. "

“You know I am honest, I have yet to lie to you about anything. Secrets are best kept with me, I’ve had many people trust me with their own.“ Mahikan closes the gap between them with careful movements, giving Lucian enough time to back out if needed. They are close now, a little too close for comfort to a man who proclaims they are dangerous. Though, Mahikan knows the risk that comes with teasing, and they have time and time again—slipped free of messy situations. “Humour me, Lucian, and maybe i’ll let you see what I really am. Not just the traveller with a lyre like everyone sees me as.” Their hand comes up, barely touching the man’s face before it disappears just as fast as it appeared. Mahikan is the first to step away, crossing the room in careful, calculated steps.

[inept]—i said my skills were better with instruments, not that i cannot speak to people. [there’s feigned anger on their face, shooting a glare that doesn’t mean much]. what, are you not entertained by my theatrics? i’ve been told children love it when i act like this. so youre socially inept, chronically overconfident, and armed with an instrument. thats a rather impressive combination. (he tilts his head, studying them the way one might consider a puzzle box.) very well, entertainer, if i am to be heckled by quips and serenaded by strings, i should at least know what name to curse beneath my breath.
