I think both of your stories are good. I don't know about some of the details you used because
          1. What does the "metallic scent in the air" have to do with cutting?
          2. In your other book, you use the present tense a lot and I don't think it completely flows together like a book should.
          Other wise your books are really good and you should definitly continue them. I hope I wasn't too harsh. Sorry if I was...
