When I was a little girl I use to have imaginary friends that I would talk to and go on adventures with. They were usually from movies that I had seen. As I got a bit older and discovered the world of books, those friends became ones I met on the pages written by some brilliant authors, and the adventures we went on were spectacular. Story telling has always been easy for me, memorizing something and acting it out, it was a way for me to take people on the adventures that I had experienced. It was something I lost however as I got older. Creating my own stories was something that came naturally to me, but like most adults I let fear get in my way. I decided I was done being afraid of the unknown. For me books and writing gives me a chance to escape reality, go to a happy place if I need it or find true love between the pages of these books. I become so invested in the characters I am reading or writing that you may have a hard time convincing me they aren't real, and yes I know that makes me sound crazy but what is even more crazy is that in my mind, all of these books and characters are real and are just begging to be shared with the world. I love to write and I love creating, characters for you to fall in love with, worlds you have never been to and adventures that will stay with you forever. Even if it's just for a little while, if a story can take you away from reality and give you some peace of mind, then my job is done.
