It addresses various themes that aren't often discussed in our society because everything is taboo when it comes to mental health. I can get a sense of what you describe in your story because I'm a nursing student, and we have teaching units on psychology and psychopathology, mood disorders, eating disorders, phobias, and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). I really appreciated your writing style and the romantic storyline despite the abuse.
I loved reading it. However, the marriage of Malec and Malec's child born to a surrogate mother would have been a bonus because even with illness, it's possible to build a family. And the development of all the characters—Izzy, Simon, Jace, Clary, Malec in front of married people, Maryse rebuilding her life, and Max with their children—was truly wonderful.
